Promotion launches early copies of Mass Effect 3 to space
Fans have a chance to track down and find an early copy of the game
To celebrate Commander Shepard’s war to take Earth back, Mass Effect 3 became the first console game launched into Earth's upper atmosphere.
Starting February 23rd, various cities across the globe hosted Space Edition launches. Copies of the game around Las Vegas, New York, San Francisco, and London (today) have already been launched and subsequently recovered - but those in Berlin still have a chance with launch scheduled for Feb 29th.
Fans were able to track the packages on their flights via GPS and had to be first to arrive at the landing zone to win an early copy of Mass Effect that has survived space travel.
For the rest of us, Mass Effect 3 will arrive at retail on March 6th for consoles and PC.
