Guild Wars 2 beta reaches 1M signups
MMO Beta interest peaks in less than three days
NCSoft has revealed that following a limited-time sign up process for the Guild Wars 2 beta test, more than 1 million users have submitted an application.
The sign up time window was only 48 hours, but the response was so overwhelming that the developers reached over 800k interested users within the two days. In order to celebrate, the deadline was actually extended for a few hours so that the beta could reach 1 million.
A tracking board was set up, which currently shows that the 1 mil goal was reached and thus the application is no longer open. There are no details yet on when first selections will be made from the applicant pool.
