No BF1943 included with PS3 copies of Battlefield 3
Sony, EA backtrack on the promise of extra game
Sony and EA have changed their minds about including Battlefield 1943 codes with all PlayStation 3 copies of Battlefield 3.
The free game was originally promised back at E3 earlier this year, in order to further promote the franchise on the PlayStation 3. However, now that the game has released, buyers began reporting that no free game is to be found in retail copies.
A tweet from the official Battlefield account has now confirmed that the free game had been replaced by early access to DLC instead. "In lieu of 1943 being available on disc, EA has made all BF3 expansions available early to PS3 customers."
Battlefield 3 is in stores this week for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows PC.
