Valve Confirms Left 4 Dead 2 Avatar Awards
Get rewarded for killing zombies! Certain achievements allow users to unlock new in-game items
Get dressed to impress when Left 4 Dead 2 releases next month.
A text file found in the recent demo of the title hinted at possible avatar awards, giving players the ability to dress up his or her Xbox 360 avatar with special clothing after earning specific achievements in the game.
Publisher Valve confirmed to IGN Left 4 Dead 2 will indeed have avatar awards, but would not get more specific than that. The list below is likely not the complete list, as discovered by Fade guy Steam forums, but it gives you an idea of what can be earned via completing achievements.
# Med Kit - "earned by beating all five campaigns"
# Bull Shifters Shirt - "earned by winning 10 games of Versus"
# Left 4 Dead 2 Shirt - "earned by winning 10 games of Scavenge"
# Zombie Hand shirt - "earned by killing 10,000 Infected"
# Depeche Mode Shirt - "earned by rescuing Gnome Chompski from the Dark Carnival"
