RAGE PC version slammed by poor user reviews on Metacritic
PC users express their frustration at the newest shooter from id, ongoing technical problems is the most common complaint
The launch of RAGE on PC hasn't exactly gone smoothly for id Software, and now buyers are expressing their discontent via poor user reviews on the popular review aggregator site, Metacritic.
While the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions are holding at relatively average user scores, the PC version of the game is getting a ton of complains. Current user score for RAGE PC sits at a very low 3.9 out of 10 rating, with 506 votes.
There are also 306 user reviews, 191 of which are negative. Most of the reviews list the players' general dissapointment with the game, particularly on the technical front. Users claim the game performance ranges from very poor to unplayable, even on the latest hardware.
A similar fate has been suffered earlier this year by titles such as Dragon Age 2 and Crysis 2, which were also slammed by users on the site.
RAGE was released on October 4th for PC, as well as Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Look for our review early next week.
