Mass Effect 3 to have a multiplayer component

Developers BioWare have confirmed that Mass Effect 3 will feature an online component, though no further details are currently available.
An accidental early reveal was spotted today as PC Power Play said that Mass Effect 3 is getting multiplayer. The issue with the reveal is slated to hit October 19th, so it could be a few days yet before any details surface.
In a separate event, the official BioWare twitter also confirmed the news, only stating: “There will be a multiplayer component for #ME3. Full details soon, so wait until then before making your decision. We think you’ll like it!“
Mass Effect 3 will be the first game in the series to feature multiplayer. The action RPG is set to hit PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 in March 2012.
