The Witcher 2 free Version 2.0 patch released
Big update for PC RPG brings fixes, new game modes
CD Projekt RED has announced the release of version 2.0 of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, available now as a free automatic update via the in-game launcher and through direct download.
The Version 2.0 update includes an improved tutorial guiding new players into the game; an Arena mode where players face foes from the Witcher world; and a new Dark Mode that provides a higher level of difficulty and new challenges for existing players.
A complete list of changes can be found on the official website at http://en.thewitcher.com/patch2/
Version 2.0 also includes all the downloadable content packs and technical packs previously released, and provides a number of new technical fixes, such as improved game-control responsiveness and an improved targeting system.
Adam Badowski, Studio Director commented, “We called this new update 2.0, but while testing it we realized that this update is actually bigger than the well-received Enhanced Edition update from our first game! So this is a major update not only for us, but also for all those who want to start their adventure with the game and for those who would like to play it again.”
The Witcher 2 is now in stores for PC, and is coming to Xbox 360 early next year.
