THQ Unveils Metro 2033
Another post apocalyptic shooter coming early next year.
Publisher THQ announced today Metro 2033, a first-person shooter for Xbox 360 and PC based on the novel with the same name by Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky.
Developed by 4A Games, a studio based in the Ukraine, Metro 2033 is set in a post apocalyptic future in the city of Moscow. Players will journey outside city limits and face mutated creatures while meeting remaining survivors in underground catacombs and caverns.
"Metro 2033 will plunge gamers into a terrifying vision of the future," said Richard Williams, vice president of global brand management, THQ. "4A Games have worked closely with Dmitry Glukhovsky to deliver a unique game world, a compelling, cinematic story and an incredible, atmospheric experience to rival anything in the category."
Metro 2033 is scheduled to ship in early 2010.
