Red Faction: Armageddon gets original soundtrack
Original Soundtrack scheduled for release in May
Sumthing Else Music Works has revealed Red Faction: Armageddon Original Soundtrack featuring the original music score from the sci-fi action video game developed by Volition and THQ.
The soundtrack album was written, arranged and sequenced by composer and music producer Brian Reitzell. Red Faction: Armageddon Original Soundtrack is scheduled for release on May 31st, 2011 to retail outlets through Sumthing Else Music Works, and for digital download Amazon MP3, iTunes and other digital music sites.
"Brian intended for this to be a 'record' in the truest sense - to be its own standalone experience start-to-finish," said Stephen Hodde, Lead Audio Designer, Red Faction: Armageddon. "He's spent a lot of time arranging these compositions so that the record presents the game's content, but also follows its own emotional arc."
In Red Faction: Armageddon video game, half a century after the Red Faction resistance freed Mars, the red planet again becomes a battleground. Colonists struggle for survival in the underground mines after the surface is rendered uninhabitable. When Darius Mason, grandson of revolution heroes Alec Mason and Samanya, unknowingly releases a long-dormant evil, Armageddon is unleashed on Mars. As settlements are torn asunder, only Darius and the Red Faction can save mankind.
Red Faction: Armageddon is set to release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Windows PC on June 7 and will ship internationally on June 10.
