Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Expansion Adds Gibbi Point and Getaways
The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Expansion arrives Oct 2, 2025, adding Gibbi Point, Custom Getaways, Imaginary Friends, new traits, careers, and adventures.
The Sims 4: Adventure Awaits Expansion Pack will launch on October 2, 2025, for the EA app, Epic Games Store, Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One systems. The expansion is priced at $39.99. An early purchase incentive is available until November 13, 2025, including the Toasty Tower Lamp, the Toasty Tea Kettle, and Toasty Tootsies Socks.
The expansion introduces Gibbi Point, a new world. Many years ago, a great wave rushed through the area, creating a fertile landscape. Gibbi Point is home to Jellyfish, Glow Worms, and Plumbirds. It also includes unusual caves of crystal, a bioluminescent bay, and what is described as the world’s largest geyser.
The world is divided into three neighborhoods. Wanderwood Wilds is described as a leafy haven with forest trails and geysers, home to Camp Gibbi Gibbi, where Sims can fish in mountain streams and share campfire stories. Crystal Valley is characterized by sparkling rock formations and features Love Highland, a retreat for romance. Jellyfish Junction is a waterfront neighborhood with a lagoon and Revive & Thrive, a retreat for health and fitness.
Activities in Gibbi Point include kayaking, river panning, butterfly catching, watersliding, fishing, and working out at the Fitness Center. Sims can explore glowing jellyfish at night, attend boardwalk festivals, play retro gaming consoles, and accept quests from a local who may be the last surviving Large Plumbird.
Child Sims receive expanded features. They can participate in Formative Moments, gain new Traits, and develop evolving Childhood Sentiments. Activities include Papercraft, Archery, Diving, and Entomology. Modular Playground building allows players to create large play areas. Classic games include Hide-and-Seek and Rock, Paper, Scissors. A new aspiration, Cool Kid on the Block, focuses on friendship. Imaginary Friends return from The Sims 3. There are four dolls with four personalities: Goofball, Creative, Competitive, and Evil. Each doll bonds with a Sim differently. EA says that “Evil friends do not come with extra smoke detectors.”
Adult Sims can participate in kayaking, watersliding, and fitness training. The new Park Worker career includes two paths: Camp Counselor and Park Ranger. Poolside features include diving boards, slides, and hot tubs. New traits include Competitive, which influences reactions to outcomes.
The expansion introduces the Getaway System, Custom Venues, and a Getaway Planner. Getaways can last a day or more. Players can schedule activities and apply rules, including Elimination Rules designed to mimic reality dating shows. Venues can be decorated and customized, and builds can be shared on the Gallery. Objects include Blenders, Spin Bikes, and Free Weights. In the wider Sims community, custom creations have stretched venue possibilities in different directions, with some mods even experimenting with casino-style features such as table games and chip systems, though these remain unofficial.
EA collaborated with community creators for the expansion. Jeyjeybink, an Australian creator, designed Love Highland in Crystal Valley, with a private dock, hot tub, and a large fireplace pillar. She also created Whispering Waters Sanctuary, available in the Gallery on October 2.Danielle, known as daniellebuilds, created Jellyfish Jubilee Vacation Rental in Jellyfish Junction and Cryptid Creek Camp, both available in the Gallery on October 2. Gryphi built Camp Gibbi Gibbi in Wanderwood Wilds, Plumbird Park in Wanderwood Wilds, and Fearful Fish Lounge in Crystal Valley. KiwiSimsKate, from Aotearoa, New Zealand, built Miner’s Manse in Crystal Valley, Revive and Thrive Retreat, and Fletcher’s Cottage in Jellyfish Junction. Axiisims, also known as Alexandra, created Seabreeze Scenic, Crystal Cottage, and Wanderwood Wonder. Crystal Cottage is described as sleek and modern with a pool.
