Entergram to Delist 106 PS4 and PS Vita Games from Japanese PlayStation Store
Find out which 106 PS4 and PS Vita titles Entergram will delist from the Japanese PlayStation Store and what the publisher has confirmed.
Japanese publisher Entergram has announced that it will remove 106 games from the Japanese PlayStation Store on September 30, 2025, all of which span both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita platforms. The company stated that it is ending sales of the downloadable and packaged versions of these titles. Though strangely, no reason for the delisting was provided beyond that statement.
The full list of titles was shared by the publisher. According to Entergram, this removal applies only to the Japanese PlayStation Store. None of the 106 games has been released outside Japan. Users in other regions will not be affected unless they use a Japanese PlayStation Network account to access that storefront.
Entergram confirmed that the games being delisted do not contain online elements. The publisher stated that user support for these titles will continue after the delisting. A sale will be held before September 30, 2025, for the affected games. Entergram also announced that 34 of the 106 titles are planned to be re-released under different publishers. The remaining 72 titles currently have no announced plans for redistribution.
The titles being removed are not PlayStation 5 games. However, all of them are playable on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro through backward compatibility. Consequently, users of those consoles who access the Japanese PlayStation Store will also be affected by the delisting.
The announcement comes in the context of long-standing regulation in Japan concerning game mechanics that involve random rewards. In May 2012, the country’s Consumer Affairs Agency prohibited the practice known as “complete gacha” under the Act Against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations. This system, where players collected a full set of random digital items to earn a rare bonus, was deemed unlawful. The ban led to changes in how developers implemented chance-based systems in games. Since then, Japanese publishers have been required to comply with regulations that include disclosing item drop rates and avoiding mechanics that mimic gambling practices.
Although none of the 106 Entergram games being delisted were reported to use such systems, and no connection has been drawn between the removal and any regulatory action, the delisting takes place within a market that maintains oversight of chance-based digital content.
The Japanese PlayStation Store, launched in 2006 during the PlayStation 3 era, is the region’s primary platform for purchasing digital games. Its library includes region-exclusive titles from Japanese publishers such as Entergram. Many of these games have not been released internationally and are not available in other languages.
Entergram has not disclosed any additional information about why it is ending sales of these 106 titles. Once the games are delisted, they will no longer be available for new digital purchases unless they are reissued at a later date.
