Pokémon GO Fest 2025 Early Access Eggs and Shiny Hunts Begin for Ticket Holders

Find out how Pokémon GO Fest 2025 ticket holders get early access to shiny-boosted 2 km and 5 km eggs, rare hatches, and exclusive raid events June 23-29.

Posted on

Pokémon GO Fest 2025 is officially underway for ticket holders; Niantic launched a special early access period that started Monday, June 23 at 10:00 a.m. and runs until Sunday, June 29 at 11:59 p.m. local time. During this period, trainers who have a Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Global ticket can hatch themed 2 km and 5 km eggs before the global portion of the event begins. These early-access eggs feature increased shiny encounter rates, equal to the shiny probability available to ticket holders during the main event on June 28 and 29.

The 2 km eggs available to ticket holders during early access can contain the following Pokémon: Karrablast, Shelmet, Golett, Pawniard, Vullaby, Pancham, Oranguru, and Passimian. In addition, four color variants of Flabébé, blue, orange, red, and yellow, may also hatch from 2 km eggs during this time. All Pokémon in this group have a chance to be shiny if hatched by ticket holders during the early access period.

The 5 km eggs offered to GO Fest ticket holders from June 23 to June 29 include Togepi, Torkoal, Pachirisu, Mienfoo, Skiddo, Carbink, Goomy, Klefki, Frigibax, and Jangmo-o. Each of these Pokémon, except Klefki, has a chance to be shiny during early access. The same set of Pokémon in both the 2 km and 5 km eggs will be available to all players globally from Saturday, June 28, at midnight to Sunday, June 29, at 11:59 p.m. local time, though shiny odds will differ for non-ticket holders.

To support egg-hatching efforts, Niantic has released a GO Fest Hatcher Box in the Pokémon GO Web Store. Priced at $39.99, this bundle includes 25 Incubators, 30 Super Incubators, and two Poffins. The large number of incubators available in the bundle aligns well with the increased incentive to hatch eggs throughout the early access period. Players looking to maximize hatching outcomes may find this process similar in concept to strategies used in online casino games, where probability, timing, and repeat actions are fundamental to increasing one’s potential reward.

Alongside the egg bonuses, Niantic is running the Ancients Recovered event that started June 23, and runs until June 27. This event includes daily Raid Hours from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time featuring Regirock, Registeel, Regice, Regieleki, Regidrago, and Regigigas. On Friday, June 27, all six of these Pokémon will appear simultaneously during the final Raid Hour of the event. Shadow Raids will also be available daily, including one-star, three-star, and weekend-only five-star Shadow Raids. Shadow Registeel will appear in five-star Shadow Raids, with the possibility of encountering its shiny version.

The Ancients Recovered event introduces a new item: the Gold Bottle Cap. This item is available to players who purchase the Ancients Recovered Deluxe GO Pass for $20. The Gold Bottle Cap is linked with Hyper Training and allows players to complete tasks to maximize a Pokémon’s stats. The item must be used by July 6, 2025, and players will have one year to complete its associated tasks after activation.

Max Battles also returns during the Ancients Recovered event. Mega Beedrill will appear in Mega Raids from June 23 to June 29.

During Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Global on June 28 and 29, the Crowned Forms of Zacian and Zamazenta will debut in five-star raids. Both Pokémon will be included in a branching special research line available to ticket holders. Shiny Frigibax and Shiny Carbink will also debut globally during the two-day event. The global GO Fest will run from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time on both days.

Additionally, the Season of Delightful Days continues with season-long bonuses such as one additional special trade per day, increased XP for the first catch of the day, and extended Daily Adventure Incense duration.

The GO Battle League: Season 23 is currently active, with 4× Stardust available from win rewards (excluding end-of-set rewards) from June 24 to July 1. The Master League, Great League, and Ultra League are all available during this time.

Until June 27, Gigantamax Max Battles featuring Rillaboom, Cinderace, and Inteleon will also be part of the Ancients Recovered event. Trainers interested in these battles or in maximizing egg hatching during early access will have multiple simultaneous activities to engage with during this packed week of gameplay.

GO Fest 2025: Global runs from June 28 to June 29 and is the final stage of this year’s international GO Fest celebrations, which previously held live events in Osaka (Japan), Jersey City (New Jersey, U.S.), and Paris (France). At those in-person events, trainers had the opportunity to encounter Shiny Carbink and Shiny Frigibax for the first time, participate in raids against Zacian and Zamazenta, and catch Hawlucha—a Pokémon normally exclusive to Mexico.
