New Xbox Game Pass in May and Early June 2025: New Additions, Cloud Games, and Departures

Xbox Game Pass had one of its busiest months in May 2025. Over 20 games were added across Xbox consoles, PC, and cloud, with genres like first-person shooters, tactical RPGs, simulation games, and narrative adventures. Microsoft also removed five titles at the end of the month. In early June, two more indie games joined the catalog. Based on official announcements, here's a full breakdown of what came and went, including platforms and exact dates.
First, looking at the new arrivals throughout May 2025, many games launched across multiple platforms and Game Pass tiers.
- Dredge became available early in the month. This is a single-player fishing adventure with a dark theme. It was added to Xbox Series X/S, PC, and cloud platforms. It is included in both Ultimate and Standard Game Pass subscriptions.
- Dragon Ball Xenoverse also launched at the start of May. It includes character creation and battles across the Dragon Ball universe. It is accessible on console, PC, and cloud for all Game Pass tiers.
- Dungeons of Hinterberg was added to console for Standard subscribers. Players control Luisa, a law student battling monsters and solving dungeon puzzles during a break in a remote Alpine village.
- Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn became available for Xbox Series X/S. This action RPG features Nor Vanek and a fox-like creature named Enki fighting against gods. It is on Standard Game Pass.
- Metal Slug Tactics, a tactical RPG based on the original series, was added for console under the Standard tier.
- Revenge of the Savage Planet joined the lineup for Xbox Series X/S, PC, and cloud. The game is set in space after corporate mismanagement leaves the player stranded. It is included in Ultimate and PC tiers.
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed arrived on console, PC, and cloud. It follows the TMNT characters in a new action story and is accessible through all Game Pass tiers.
- Warhammer: Vermintide 2, a four-player co-op action game, was added to console and cloud. It is available for both Standard and Ultimate subscribers.
- DOOM: The Dark Ages launched for Xbox Series X/S, PC, and cloud. It is the third modern DOOM game, set in a medieval world. It is available in all Game Pass tiers.
- Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo was added to console, PC, and cloud. It is a papercraft-themed adventure game set in Limbo.It is available to Standard and Ultimate users.
- Firefighting Simulator: The Squad came to console, PC, and cloud. It is a co-op and solo firefighting simulation set in a U.S. city. It is available to all subscribers.
- Police Simulator: Patrol Officers was also added for console, PC, and cloud. Set in a fictional U.S. city called Brighton, players take the role of local police officers. It is available to Standard and Ultimate tiers.
- Monster Train 2, the sequel to the original deck-building game, was released on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and cloud. It is included in PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate.
- Creatures of Ava, an adventure game about taming animals to stop a spreading infection, is now available for Xbox Series X/S under the Standard tier.
- STALKER 2, a survival horror game set in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, was added to Game Pass Standard in May for Xbox Series X/S.
- Tales of Kenzera: Zau, a Metroidvania inspired by Bantu mythology, came to Xbox Series X/S, PC, and cloud. The player makes a deal with the God of Death. It is available for Ultimate and PC subscribers.
- Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 launched on 27 May. The tactical shooter is set in Washington, D.C., where players fight against enemy factions. It is available across console, PC, and cloud for all tiers.
- To a T was added on 28 May for Xbox Series X/S, PC, and cloud. This game follows a 13-year-old permanently stuck in a T-pose. It was created by Keita Takahashi, the developer of Katamari Damacy. It is available on all tiers.
- Metaphor: ReFantazio launched on 29 May. It is a turn-based fantasy RPG from the developers of Persona 3, 4, and 5. It includes a royal tournament and political intrigue. Available on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and cloud for all tiers.
- Spray Paint Simulator, also released on 29 May, is a precision painting and business-building simulator available on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and cloud. It is part of all Game Pass tiers.
As May ended, Game Pass began June with two more releases on 3 June:
- Crypt Custodian is a 2D Metroidvania. Players take on the role of Pluto, a cat sentenced to be the janitor of the afterlife. The game includes combat, cleaning abilities, and a cartoon visual style. It is available on console, PC, and cloud for all tiers.
- Symphonia is a musical platformer. The player controls a violinist using sound to move through levels. It features hand-drawn animation, nonverbal storytelling, and orchestral themes. It is available on console, PC, and cloud for all subscribers.
Other titles confirmed for June include:
- Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition, launching on 10 June.
- The Alters, releasing on 13 June.
- FBC: Firebreak and Lost in Random: The Eternal Die, both arriving on 17 June.
- Rematch, scheduled for 19 June.
- Against the Storm (console version), coming 26 June.
More announcements are expected during the Xbox Games Showcase on 8 June. Shadow drops may also happen during or after the event.
Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) added the following 15 games for Game Pass Ultimate members starting 23 May:

These are available through the cloud on multiple devices, including mobile, console, and PC.
Five games were removed from Game Pass on 31 May:
- Cassette Beasts
- Firework
- Humanity
- Remnant 2
- Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath: Vengeance of the Slayer
These are no longer available through Game Pass. However, subscribers could buy them at a discounted price before their removal.
