Gamescom 2024 concludes
Europe gaming expo had over 335,000 visitors this year
The organizers behind the annual gaming expo have announced that gamescom 2024 broke new records, reaching more people than ever before.
Over 335,000 visitors from around 120 countries attended the event taking place in Cologne, Germany last week. Online viewership for the show program reached an all-time high, with over 310 million video views recorded by Saturday evening alone. The figures for gamescom Opening Night Live reached over 40 million video views – double that of the previous year.
The number of trade visitors was around 32,000, with North America and Japan showing the largest increases. 1,462 exhibitors from 64 countries attended, with international share being 71 percent. 48 country pavilions from 37 nations took up some of the around 230,000 square meters of gross exhibition space. Both the gamescom congress and devcom developer conference reached new all-time highs this year.
gamescom 2025 will take place from August 20 to 24. The event will kick off on August 19, 2025 with gamescom Opening Night Live. gamescom is jointly organized by Koelnmesse and game – Verband der deutschen Games-Branche e.V.
