2K and Gearbox Software have announced that Borderlands 4 is in development.
Borderlands 4 is the fourth mainline title and seventh overall entry in the franchise. Players will once again assume the role of a legendary Vault Hunter as they search for secret alien treasure while blasting everything in sight.
Little information was revealed, except that the game is planned for a 2025-2026 release and will be out for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. The Borderlands franchise has sold-in more than 87 million copies to-date.
