Rise of the Ronin launches in March 2024

Developers Team Ninja have announced that Rise of the Ronin is planned for release on March 22, 2024, with pre-orders available from December 14, 2023.

Rise of the Ronin is a combat focused open-world action RPG that takes place in Japan at a time of great change. Set in the late 19th century, Japan is facing the darkest of times as it struggles with its oppressive rulers and deadly diseases while western influence permeates as civil war continues to rage between the Tokugawa Shogunate and the Anti-Shogunate factions.

Players will explore the world of late-Edo period Japan by horse and glider, while battling foes using a wide range of weapons and equipment – melee weapons like swords and spears, as well as ranged weapons like firearms and thrown weapons.

Players who pre-order any version of Rise of the Ronin will receive an early unlock of Iga Ninja’s Katana and Armour set and an early unlock of 4 Combat Styles. The Digital Deluxe edition ($79.99 USD) will include the game, all the pre-order incentives, as well as Iga Ninja’s Staff, Toyokuni Paired Swords, Bando Warrior Armour set and Japanese Formal Wear set.

Rise of the Ronin will be released exclusively on PlayStation 5.
