PC system requirements listed for Homeworld 3

Blackbird Interactive and Gearbox have revealed the PC system requirements for Homeworld 3 months ahead of the official release. Absolute minimum specs (for low settings @ 1080p) require a CPU equal to an AMD Ryzen 5 3600X or Intel i5-8600k. The minimum GPU is either an AMD 480 or Nvidia GTX 1070 or Intel Arc A380. The game also requires 12GB of RAM and at least 40GB of HDD space.

Gamers that want to play on high settings @ 1440p will need an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X or Intel i7-127000k paired with a GPU that is either an AMD 6600XT or Nvidia GTX 2070S or Intel Arc A770. In general these specs require a modest GPU but need a good CPU, which could indicate the game is CPU bound, which is often the case for strategy games.

The game will also support HDR and Ray Tracing. And FidelityFX Super Resolution 2 will be available for compatible AMD, Nvidia and Intel graphics cards, with Nvidia cards also getting DLSS3. Homeworld 3 is due out sometime in February 2024 for PC only. Blackbird Interactive will continue to optimize the game.
