Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty released
Expansion launch follows large game update
CD PROJEKT RED has announced that Phantom Liberty, a spy-thriller expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, is out now.
In Phantom Liberty, players once again take on the role of V, a cyberpunk for hire, as they embark on a mission to save the President of the New United States of America after her orbital shuttle is shot down over the deadliest district of Night City — Dogtown.
As part of the expansion, players will also gain access to over 100 new items (vehicles, weapons, clothing, and cyberware) as well as a whole new Relic skill tree with unique Relic perks, which bring even more freedom and flexibility to playstyle curation.
Also released earlier this week is Update 2.0, the biggest free update to Cyberpunk 2077 yet. Among the most significant gameplay overhauls are skill trees and perks, which have been completely reworked. Another vital addition to the game is the revamped cyberware system — with cyberware now responsible for armor. A brand new addition to the game is vehicle combat — enabling the use of weapons and quickhacks while controlling a vehicle. The update also includes refreshed enemy AI, improved UI and UX, and changes to rewards, items, and crafting.
Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty are available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
