Alan Wake 2 slightly delayed
Publisher chooses to push the game during a busy month
Epic Games Publishing and developer Remedy Entertainment have announced that Alan Wake 2 will be slightly delayed.
Originally planned for October 10th launch, the adventure game will now release on October 27.
“October is an amazing month for game launches and we hope this date shift gives more space for everyone to enjoy their favorite games,” said the developer in a brief statement. October 2023 is indeed a very busy month for major game launches, with the likes of Assassin's Creed Mirage, Forza Motorsport, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Super Mario Bros Wonder, and more.
In Alan Wake 2, a string of ritualistic murders threatens Bright Falls, a small-town community surrounded by the Pacific Northwest wilderness. Anderson, an accomplished FBI agent with a reputation for solving impossible cases, arrives to investigate the murders. Soon the events spiral into a nightmare when she discovers pages of a horror story that start to come true around her. Somehow the events seem to lead to Alan Wake, the horror writer who went missing 13 years ago.
Alan Wake 2 is set to release on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
