Assassin's Creed Mirage will include exploration mode
History of Baghdad feature will let players explore historical sites
Ubisoft has announced partnerships with several renowned institutions to create the “History of Baghdad” feature in the upcoming game Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
History of Baghdad offers players an interactive way to learn more about the game’s setting. Players can discover a total of sixty-six historical sites, each serving as a portal to valuable insights about the era, divided into five categories: Art & Science; Beliefs and Daily Life; Court Life; Economy; and Government. Each entry has been crafted in collaboration with historians and expert advisors and is illustrated by images selected amongst the collections of eminent museums and institutions worldwide, including The David Collection, the Institut du monde arabe (IMA), The Khalili Collections, and Shangri La Museum of Islamic Art, Culture & Design.
Previous games offered The Discovery Tour series, dedicated experiences that let visitors freely roam Ancient Greece, Ancient Egypt and the Viking Age to learn more about their history and daily life.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage invites players to ninth-century Baghdad at the peak of its Golden Age. It offers a narrative-driven action-adventure with a new hero, Basim Ibn Is’haq, a singular street thief with a mysterious past, who will join the Hidden Ones in Alamut on a quest for answers.
The title will be released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, and PC on October 12, 2023.
