Dead Island 2 has gone gold
Release date changed again - this time to move up a week
Seemingly always trying to keep fans of Dead Island 2 on their toes, publisher Deep Silver and developer Dambuster Studios have announced that the game has in fact gone gold, and will now release a week earlier than previously stated.
After many years in development, the game was re-revealed last year, got a release date, then got delayed, and now has been pushed forward. Its new target launch is now April 21, 2023.
In Dead Island 2, a deadly virus is spreading across Los Angeles turning its inhabitants into ravenous zombies. The city is in quarantine and the military have retreated. Bitten, infected, but more than just immune, you learn to harness the tainted powers running through your veins. Only you – along with the handful of other swaggering assholes who happen to be resistant to the pathogen – hold the future of Los Angeles (and humanity) in the balance.
The game is planned for launch on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5.
