Season 01 of Modern Warfare II detailed
Coming with Warzone 2.0 on November 16
The first season of Modern Warfare II is coming on November 16 and it is launching alongside Warzone 2.0. Season 01 will include two returning maps for standard 6v6 multiplayer: Shoot House and Shipment. While Shoot House will be available on day one, Shipment is coming mid-season. Another co-op mission will be included, called High Ground. In this new two-player mission, one player pilots an attack chopper while the other forms part of a ground assault.
Coming with the first season is a new Battle Pass system that has 20 different sectors on a map with five items in each sector. Players unlock items within each sector or they can unlock adjacent sectors. Six new operators will be releasing across the season, including Gaz and Zeus. Three are well-known football players: Neymar Jr, Paul Pogba, Leo Messi. The first season also includes a new prestige system, allowing players to prestige five times to a max rank of 250. At the end of Season 01, players can continue ranking up from wherever they ended up.
Warzone 2.0 is also launching November 16. It is a free-to-play battle royale experience set on the new Al Mazrah map. The sequel will include a few new concepts, like multiple closing circles and proximity chat. Players will also be able to join up with other squads. A new interrogation feature will reveal enemy locations. Vehicles also have limited fuel that needs to be filled at gas stations or with gas cans.
The preload for Warzone 2.0 and Season 01 of Modern Warfare II will begin on November 14 and both will go live on November 16 at 10 AM PT. For more information, head over to the official blog post on the Call of Duty website.
