More content planned for Battlefield 2042 after season 4
Shooter is coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Access
DICE have announced that Battlefield 2042 is getting more content after season 4. They have already started working on content that follows the fourth season, set to arrive sometime in 2023. No details were provided on what is coming.
In a few weeks, 2042 will be made available to subscribers of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Access. The game will also be free for PC and Xbox gamers, starting December 1, for 3-4 days. PlayStation gamers will get a week of free access, starting December 16.
The Manifest map is being updated with the season 3 launch, and it includes flags closer together and improved visibility. In the second half of season 3, coming early 2023, specialists will have weapon proficiencies added as DICE transitions them into classes. Also in 2023, the Breakaway map is getting significant structural changes, moving the oilrig to the middle of the map and adding several more flags to fight over.
Season 3 will bring with it a new Specialist, another Battle Pass, two new weapons and other hardware, and a new event. Battlefield 2042 released back in November, 2021.
