GFWLive still alive

Games For Windows Live 3.0 Released, Update adds new Marketplace functionality.

Posted on
If you've been looking for a new gameplay experience for your Games For Windows titles, you're in luck; the latest Games For Windows update was released earlier today. The update, which pushes the GFW service to version 3.0, appears to add a few cosmetic changes to the overall experience: while the same options are present, the Marketplace has a new gray background.
Apart from this, GFW 3.0 adds in-game guide and Marketplace functionality, allowing players to immediately download and install expansion content or extras without having to quit a game and reload from an older checkpoint. Further details weren't available on the Games For Windows website, and IGN attempted to contact Microsoft for additional information but the company did not respond.
Opinion: Can it be true that Microsoft is stil trying to push the platform? As far as many gamers know, it has been a dead end for the service for a few months now. But perhaps there is still hope.
