NBA 2K11 coming to PS3 in 3D
Offered Exclusively at Best Buy on November 16th, later offered as free DLC to existing owners
2K Sports today announced that NBA 2K11 will be available in 3D on the PlayStation 3. This immersive NBA 2K11 3D experience will be available exclusively for the PlayStation 3 system at Best Buy starting November 16, 2010.
The 3D version of the game will play normally on any television set; however, a 3D HD television with compatible 3D active glasses will be needed to enjoy the game in three dimensions.
All current owners of NBA 2K11 for the PlayStation 3 system will be able to download an upgrade to enable their game to play in 3D for free from the PlayStation Store for the PlayStation 3 system starting in January 2011.
“The authentic broadcast presentation of NBA 2K11 is something we’re really proud of,” said Greg Thomas, president of product development for 2K Sports. “The new 3D capabilities literally add a new dimension to the experience and provide a level of immersion that has never been experienced in a basketball video game.”
NBA 2K11 is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB and is available now on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
