Electronic Arts to rebrand the FIFA video game series
EA SPORTS FC will become the new name in 2023 for the soccer series
Electronic Arts has announced that its football (soccer) games will move forward under a new EA SPORTS FC brand in 2023.
EA SPORTS FC will be the platform for EA to deliver its future games, and this year's EA Sports FIFA will be the final entry under its current long-running name. The agreement with FIFA, the governing body of world football, has thus been ended.
EA SPORTS FC still promises more than 300 individual licensed partners, giving players access to more than 19,000 athletes across 700 teams, in 100 stadiums and over 30 leagues around the world. EA SPORTS FC claims it will be the only place fans can play in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, CONMEBOL Libertadores, Premier League, Bundesliga, LaLiga, Serie A, and MLS, among many others.
The introduction of EA SPORTS FC will not impact any current EA SPORTS global football games, and EA and FIFA are excited to deliver the final entry named EA SPORTS FIFA ever later this fall.
More information on EA SPORTS FC is said to be coming in 2023.
