S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 delayed
Developers push the sequel to the end of 2022
GSC Game World have announced that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl will be pushed back by almost a full year.
Originally planned to release on April 28, 2022, the game will now plan to launch on December 8, 2022.
"These additional seven months of development are needed to fulfill our vision and achieve the desired state of the game. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is the biggest project in the history of GSC, and it requires thorough testing and polishing. We are convinced that development should take as long as necessary, especially in the case of such a project," said the developers in a statement.
In the sequel, players will take over a role of the lone stalker and explore photorealistic seamless open world in a 64-km² radioactive zone with a variety of environments that reveal post-apocalyptic atmosphere from different angles.
The game is planned for release on PC and Xbox Series X|S.
