Cyberpunk 2077 returns to PlayStation store
The sales for the game resume as developers say issues may still exist
CD PROJEKT RED have announced that the PlayStation 4 version of Cyberpunk 2077 is available for purchase again on the PlayStation Store.
The game was originally released last year, but quickly pulled by Sony after numerous technical issues were identified. Microsoft chose to keep the game on the Xbox Store, despite similar problems on Xbox One.
Over 6 months later, the game is now back on the PlayStation store, but developers say that "users may continue to experience some performance issues with the PS4 edition while CD PROJEKT RED further works to improve stability across all platforms."
They advise that playing on PS4 Pro and PS5 (via backward compatibility) will provide the best Cyberpunk 2077 experience on PlayStation.
A free PlayStation 5 upgrade for the game will be coming in the second half of 2021 — and will be available for all owners of the PlayStation 4 version of Cyberpunk 2077, including both digital and disc. The upgrade will allow the title to take full advantage of the new console’s more powerful hardware. The same free upgrade is planned for Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S.
