Forza Horizon 5 announced
Next chapter in racing game series will take players to Mexico
Microsoft and Playground Games have announced Forza Horizon 5.
Players will discover deserts, jungles, historic cities, hidden ruins, pristine beaches, vast canyons, and a towering snow-capped volcano – the highest point ever in a Horizon game - as they travel to Mexico.
The campaign will offer challenges that reward you for engaging in the activities you love. Meet new characters and choose the outcomes of their Horizon Story missions and take on weather events such as towering dust storms and tropical storms as Mexico’s unique, dynamic seasons change the world every week.
You can team up with other players and enter the Horizon Arcade for a continuing series of over-the-top challenges. Meet new friends in Horizon Open and Tours and share your creations with new community gift sharing. The Horizon Open will let you seamlessly jump into Races, Drift challenges, Eliminator sessions, and more. Horizon Tour is your chance to meet up like you would at a car meet and race co-op against Drivatars on circuits all over the map, forming up as a convoy as you hop from one race to the next.
Forza Horizon 5 promises Mexican HDR sky captures, and ray tracing in Forzavista, with 4K 30 FPS on the Xbox Series X (1080p 30 FPS on Xbox Series S) with an optional 60 FPS performance mode.
Forza Horizon 5 will be released on November 9 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Premium version owners get Early Access starting November 5.
