Elden Ring to launch in January 2022
The next FromSoftware action RPG is coming early next year
FromSoftware Inc. and publisher BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc. have announced that Elden Ring will launch on January 21, 2022.
The action RPG gameplay will take players into a new world filled with fantastic tales and lore written by Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R.R. Martin. Throughout their adventures, players will choose the fate of this cursed land by unravelling its secrets and myths.
Promising a vast landscape with natural weather and time-of-day progression, players can traverse on foot or horseback, alone or online with friends across grassy plains, swamps and forests. Gameplay experimentation is encouraged with a wide variety of weapons, magical abilities and skills found throughout the world.
Elden Ring will be available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5. The game supports the Smart Delivery on Xbox consoles as well as a Free Upgrade to PS5 for players who purchase the PS4 version.
