Saints Row: The Third Remastered out next week for more platforms
PS5 and Xbox Series X|S version will be free upgrade to existing owners
Deep Silver has announced that Saints Row: The Third Remastered will release digitally for next-gen consoles on May 25, with the Steam and GOG PC version launching on May 22.
The next-gen version of Saints Row: The Third Remastered for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S promises the experience equivalent of the PC edition at high settings. Visually the game’s engine is now able to run at a much higher performance, bringing improvements to lighting, texture resolution, and other visual effects. The game will run at 60 frames per second and dynamic 4K resolution, and quick loading times.
Xbox Series S owners get an additional option to play in either Performance Mode, which keeps the gameplay locked at 60fps with a 1080 resolution, or Beauty Mode that locks the gameplay to standard 30fps while employing an upscaled 4K resolution.
Existing owners of Saints Row: The Third Remastered who own next-gen consoles will be able to get these upgrades free of charge.
Saints Row: The Third was originally released on PS3, PC and Xbox 360 in 2011.
