MLB The Show 21 announced
Baseball franchise will also release on Xbox for the first time
Sony has announced MLB The Show 21 will be released on April 20, 2021, and feature Fernando “El Nino” Tatis Jr as the cover athlete.
Further, MLB The Show 21 will be available for players on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. This marks the first time that the baseball franchise will be released on a platform outside of a PlayStation console. Online cross-play is available across platforms (PS5 to Xbox Series X & PS4 to Xbox One) as well as within console ecosystems (PS5/PS4 and Xbox Series X/Xbox One).
However, Year to year saves will not be supported. There will also be no standard edition upgrade path from current gen to next gen. If you are interested in having access to the game on both current and next gen platforms, you will need to buy one of the collector’s editions.
