Cyberpunk 2077 pushed back into December
The upcoming open world RPG suffers another delay
CD Projekt RED has announced another delay for its upcoming open world RPG Cybeprunk 2077, from the currently planned November release to a new date of December 10, 2020.
The company posted a statement on Twitter, saying in part: "The biggest challenge for us right now is shipping the game on current-gen, next-gen, and PC at the same time, which requires us to prepare and test nine versions of it while working from home. Since Cyberpunk 2077 evolved towards almost being a next-gen title somewhere along the way, we need to make sure everything works well and every version runs smoothly."
The company also clarified that despite passing certification, or “going gold,” the team is working on improvements that will be part of the Day 0 patch.
Cyberpunk 2077 will launch first on PC, Xbox One, and PS4, and will follow on next-gen consoles in 2021.
