PlayStation 5 games event scheduled for next week

UPDATED June 1: Sony has announced that the planned PlayStation 5 event scheduled for June 4 has been postponed. The company issued a brief statement, saying: "While we understand gamers worldwide are excited to see PS5 games, we do not feel that right now is a time for celebration and for now, we want to stand back and allow more important voices to be heard."

ORIGINAL STORY: Sony has announced it plans to host a PlayStation 5 games showcase next week.

Fans can watch on Twitch or YouTube on June 4 at 1pm PDT / 9pm BST / 10pm CEST.

The event will provide fans with a first look at the games that will appear on PlayStation 5. This digital showcase will run for a bit more than an hour. This is part of a series of PS5 updates and there will be more coming in the future.

The PlayStation 5 console is planned for launch this Holiday season.
