Koch Media and THQ Nordic swap franchises

Two publishers exchange rights to develop future games

Posted on

THQ Nordic and Koch Media have announced they are swapping publishing rights for some of their respective intellectual properties.

THQ Nordic is getting Risen, Sacred, Rush for Berlin, Second Sight and Singles: Flirt Up Your Life from to Koch Media.

THQ Nordic now unifies all Piranha Bytes titles under one roof. Evaluations on remasters, ports, potential sequels & new content will start right away.

Meanwhile, Koch Media will take over Red Faction and Painkiller franchises. This puts the Red Faction franchise closer to its original developers Volition, under Deep Silver (who are under Koch Media).

Both companies are gaming subsidiaries of Embracer Group.
