Final Fantasy VII Remake out now

Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy VII Remake is now available.

The FFVII Remake is a reimagining of the original RPG game. The game adds a hybrid battle system that merges real-time action with strategic, command-based combat. The first game in the project is set in the city of Midgar and presents a fully standalone experience that goes deeper into the characters and world.

The world has Fallen under the control of the shinra electric power company, a shadowy Corporation controlling the planet's very life force as mako energy. In the sprawling city of midgar, an anti shinra organization calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their resistance. Cloud Strife, a former member of shinra's Elite soldier unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the group, unaware of the consequences that await him.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is out now exclusively on the PlayStation 4.
