Commandos 2 and Praetorians remasters due soon
Old strategy games being remastered in January 2020
Commandos 2 - HD Remaster and Praetorians HD - Remaster will release for PC on January 24, 2020. The remasters will get a console release too, with PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch getting them sometime in Spring 2020. The games can be bought separately or together in a pack. Customers that preorder the PC version will get access to the closed beta on December 13.
Kalypso Media is working with developers Yippee! Entertainment and Torus Games to bring the old strategy games to modern platforms. The remasters will feature reworked controls, modernized UI and an overhauled tutorial. The Praetorians remaster will include multiplayer.
Commandos 2: Men of Courage and Praetorians were original developed by Pyro Studios under Eidos Interactive. They released on PC back in September 2001 and February 2003. Praetorians originally used the now defunct Gamespy multiplayer platform.
