Call of Duty: Modern Warfare open Alpha this weekend
Free 2v2 Alpha commencing this Friday for PS4 users
Infinity Ward and Activision have announced plans to host a surprise Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2v2 Alpha, startng this Friday August 23 on PS4.
The Alpha will be held exclusively on PlayStation 4 starting Friday, August 23, at 10 PDT, with preloading scheduled to be available in the hours prior to the official launch. It will conclude on Sunday, August 25.
There’s no game pre-order, and no PlayStation Plus required to try it out. Five different 2v2 Maps are scheduled for the weekend. These are King, Pine, and Stack (previously revealed), and Speedball and Docks (new reveals).
Fans can expect multiple Operators to be available, at least one game mode to play (with “Pickup” variant mode scheduled), and a number of other content updates throughout the weekend.
There will still be the more full-featured multiplayer Beta in September, as previously announced.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is scheduled for release globally October 25th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (exclusively on Battle.net).
