Mafia 2 Developer call
We listen as the member of Mafia 2 development team answers tons of questions (including one of our own) about the upcoming title
With Mafia 2 releasing on August 24th, a member of the development team has hosted a conference call with select members of the industry. The press sent in their questions in advance, and many were answered, including one of our own!

The question that was asked which we submitted was: "Are there any side missions that can be repeated after the completion of the main story line? Can the players continue playing in the open world after the end mission, or will users have to restart the last checkpoint to explore the world again?" and it is answered around the 38th minute of the call.
