NHL 11 demo details
EA Sports reveals the date for the public demo
As part of a live developer chat today, EA Sports has revealed the date for the NHL 11 public demo. Users on Playstation 3 and XBox 360 will be able to download the demo in North America on Tuesday August 17th and in EU on Wednesday August 18th.
The demo will include Ultimate Team mode. What is included in HUT will be a starter pack, with a mix of prospects and some rare cards. You will get to play through an offline tournament. Each portion of the tournament bracket you get to play will be the 3rd period of the game. You win - you move on, you lose - you start from the beginning of the tourney. Demo will also have the Battle for The Cup. Very similar to last year, it will be Chicago vs Philly, 3rd period of Game 7.
Some new info on Ultimate Team mode was also discussed. The mode will start with 25 random players provided, and users will have to adjust their lines accordingly in order to produce the best chemistry on the line. Players will be given an NHL arena and jersey logos to start with, but will be able to collect more jerseys later and change them. Players will also be able to set their own team name.
NHL 11 is set to release on Xbox 360 and PS3 on September 7th.
