Bloober Team are working on a Blair Witch game and it is due for release in just a few months, on August 31, 2019. The game is set for release on PC and Xbox One. It is now available for preorder.
Set in the Black Hills Forest near Burkittsville, Maryland, players take the role of Ellis, a former police officer with a troubled past. You join the search for a boy lost in the woods. Players will navigate the haunted forest with a loyal dog, Bullet. The game is a first-person psychological horror game.
Bloober Team previously worked on Layers of Fear and its sequel, along with Observer. The Blair Witch movie released in 1999 and saw wide success due to the lost-footage style of filming.
