Dead Cells sells 2 million copies
New DLC Rise of the Giant launches today
Developers Motion Twin have announced that their rogue-lite, metroidvania inspired, action-platformer Dead Cells has surpassed 2 million copies sold.
Today also marks the release of Rise of the Giant DLC on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, with Xbox One to follow. The DLC adds access to the Cavern, an entirely new environment filled with entirely new ways to die. Abominable new traps, perilous lava pools await and they are filled with violent new enemies waiting to kill you - including a new boss at the end.
There's also a new skinning system, 10 new enemy types, many of which can be found in the higher difficulty modes of the game, new skills, 10 new weapons, and more.
The game was released last year on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
