Killing Floor celebrates ten years
Franchise has sold almost 10 million units since 2009
The Killing Floor franchise is now ten years old. Starting May 14, 2009, the series has sold nearly ten million copies, earned over $100 revenue, and has been played by 15 million unique players worldwide thanks to numerous free weekends.
Killing Floor 2, which released back in November 2016, has had several free seasonal updates with 49 new maps and 139 weapons added since launch. Tripwire Interactive Vice President Alan Wilson said, “With Killing Floor, we’ve added all sorts of new things over the years. We started with seasonal events, which have been wildly successful. We also introduced new weapons, new game modes, new characters, etc.”
To celebrate the ten-year anniversary, Tripwire are hosting a publisher sale on Steam and this will include discounts across the entire Tripwire catalogue. The sale runs until May 20.
Also coming soon for the PlayStation 4 is Killing Floor: Double Feature, which bundles together Killing Floor 2 and Killing Floor: Incursion, a VR survival horror shooter.
