Anniversary Update coming to Sea of Thieves
April 30 will see a free content update
Sea of Thieves is getting a free update on April 30 that includes competitive action and story quests. More information will be provided in streams, starting April 10th. Some brief details of what is coming was revealed:
The Arena is a competitive game mode that will let players face off against other crews while they aim to get the most loot.
The Hunter’s Call is a new trading company that provides more ways to play and progress.
Tall Tales are a series of story quests. The first of these is titled Shores of Gold and is said to provide, “love, honour and betrayal in search of the mythical Shores of Gold.”
To celebrate the anniversary there are several items available now, including the Golden Sailor Hat, Golden Legendary Tankard and Captain Bones’ Original Pirate Cutlass.
Sea of Thieves released on March 20th 2018 for PC and Xbox One.
