Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 hosting Blackout beta in September
Closed beta will debut the battle royale mode for the franchise
Activision has announced that the private beta test for Blackout in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will take place in September.
The Blackout beta will be available to fans who pre-ordered the game, and will begin on PS4 on September 10th. Other platforms will follow at a later date.
Blackout is a battle royale mode, and will be making its debut in the franchise. Little other information is known, but the teaser says players can play solo, duo, and squads of four, which is fairly typical for the mode.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is set to launch this October on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
