Ranger returns in Guild Wars 2

Fans of the ranged class in Guild Wars will be pleased with news that the class will return in the sequel along with Pet charming.

Rangers have been confirmed as another class in Guild Wars 2 with the ability to charm animals in Tyria who become more unique alongside the Player. Players can even charm water creatures like Sharks and swap between 3 active pets. Rangers can also wield Axes and Swords in melee combat although they are specialists with Bows.

A master of the outdoors, learn how the ranger uses skill types such asTraps to cripple enemies. And how by using Spirits skill, a ranger cansummon a nature spirit to affect and influence the areas around them during battle.

Choosing the right combination of pets to join you gives the ranger a wider range of abilities to gain the upper hand during battles. Each pet has different abilities and effects, so determining which pets accompany you is crucial to a winning strategy!

Not only does the ranger have a wide range of controls over the pet, the ranger is still the master of the long range weapon and can leverage both to exploit his opponents’ weakness.
