Battlezone coming to more platforms in May
Action game will be playable without VR
Indepndent UK developer and publisher Rebellion has announced that Battlezone Gold Edition is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC, and it will be fully playable with or without a VR headset.
Originally released in 2016 as a PlayStation VR launch title and later for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, Battlezone offers futuristic tank warfare in a first-person view. It has a procedurally generated campaign for 1-4 players, and drop-in, drop-out online co-op play.
The Gold Edition includes the game and all the additional content released for it. That's all the tank skins, bobbleheads, and horns, as well as the Classic Mode based on the original 80s arcade cabinet.
Anyone who already owns Battlezone on PS4 or PC will automatically upgrade to the Gold Edition.
Battlezone Gold Edition will launch May 1 on PC, Xbox One, and PS4, with the Switch version to follow later this year.
