Heavy Rain DLC on hold
Developer reveals that all efforts are focused on Move and a new project
If you've been waiting for news about the upcoming second chapter in the episodic Heavy Rain Chronicles, you may have to wait a while longer.
At E3, Quantic Dream's Guillame de Fondaumière confirmed that the Heavy Rain Chronicles DLC plans have been put on indefinite hold. The first episode entitled The Taxidermist, was given away to gamers who purchased the game new, and it was released for separate purchase via PSN later. According to de Fondaumière, Sony has now encouraged Quantic Dream to focus its efforts on the Move version of Heavy Rain instead of the DLC.
The Move-enabled version of Heavy Rain is set to relase this fall, and should be available as a free patch to those who already own the game. Both Heavy Rain and the first DLC episode are now available for purchase at retail and on PSN, respectively.
