PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds launches on PC
The last-man-standing shooter leaves early access program
PUBG Corporation has announced that PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has left the Steam Early Access and the release 1.0 version is now live for PC.
"Reaching version 1.0 for us means establishing the basic structure for the smooth Battle Royale gameplay of our game. Balancing and polishing in terms of gunplay, sound, animations and other features and systems will continue after launch," said the company.
To celebrate this event, everyone who boots up PUBG in the next few weeks will get a new free in-game Winner Winner Chicken Dinner tshirt.
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is a last-man-standing shooter. Starting with nothing, players must fight to locate weapons and supplies in a battle to be the lone survivor. The game first launched in early 2017 in Early Access, and has to date sold over 30 million copies.
The game was also recently launched on Xbox One as a console exclusive, in the Game Preview program.
