The Division 1.8 update available Dec 5

Update 1.8 is coming to The Division on Tuesday, December 5th, 2017. The update will be available on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 and it introduces a new area to players. The new locale of the West Side Pier is home to two new game modes. In the PvE Resistance mode, different AI factions team up to battle the division agents. Waves of enemies spawn and players try to survive as long as they can. Skirmish is a new PvP mode where two teams of four players compete to get the highest number of kills before the time limit.

Version 1.8 also includes a new social hub, revamped rogue mechanics, changes to the Underground DLC, and optimization of the gear system.

To coincide with this large update, Ubisoft are hosting a free weekend from December 7-10. All DLC in the season pass will be free to all players, including those trying it for free, from December 5-10. The season pass content includes the released expansions Underground, Survival and Last Stand.

The Division released on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in March 2016.
